Question

compensation for a delay on a journey

I have returned to my home town Amsterdam after a great trip through Belgium and France with my Interrail pass. On a journey from Paris Gare de Lyon to Lyon Part Dieu, there was a one hour delay (the trip lasted 3 hours instead of 1:56 hours). On the train, an announcement was made that the delay qualified for a (request for) compensation. I am assuming that in my case, I could file a request for compensation at Interrail. How and where could I file such a request?

As long as the delay was more than 1 hour, you can do it here

https://www.interrail.com/en/support/delay-compensation?hl=en-GB

You can file a delay compensation request online:

You can claim compensation on the pass (€12, from Interrail) and on the reservation (25%, from the place where you booked, but it must be a minimum of €4).
