Wanted a place to share tips for the summer coming:
- use a bank card from a bank offering 0% exchange fees, in the UK this might be from Chase, Monzo, Revolut across the EU, N26 in Deutschland, and you should be able to find one for your respective country.
- pack a microfibre towel with a way to store it outside your suitcase or backpack, I bought carabiner clips so I save space when carrying my backpack for souvenirs.
- speaking of souvenirs don’t be afraid to mail postcards and mementos home it’s not every day you get to use a foreign post office and it’s a great skill to have.
- use an AirTag or equivalent quality tracker, if you store your luggage it gives you peace of mind it’s not on the move from your hostel, hotel, or locker.
- bring a water bottle you’ll save a lot of money on unnecessary drinks.
