Day train then night train

Hello, if I leave the UK early morning (eg 6am), arrive in Turin (Italy) in the evening (eg 9pm) and catch a night train that same evening arriving in Messina (Italy) the next day, is that 1 or 2 travel pass days?

Thank you!

Julia

That would only count as one travel day. Though I'd be wary of short connection times for such long journey.

I'm also not sure whether there is a Turin - Messina direct train, it usually starts in Milan.
