DB train change

Hello,

We had added a train to our Eurail Pass before it was changed by the train company (DB).

Now we’ve been moved to a different train. What happens with the old reservation and the pass entry?

Do we need to update the train details on our Eurail Pass?

Also, do we have to book new seat reservations, or is the old one still valid?

Thank you!

FYI: DB do not move you to a different train. You have to decide for yourself what you want to do. DB may offer you to choose a new journey by following a link, but all that does is mark that journey for future updates in case something changes. DB do not move any reservations.

Also, DB's emails look very serious, but it can also be a very, very minor change. Therefore you should always first check what is happening with your booked trains.

It will depend entirely on what has been changed.

If it is the same train number on the same date then the original reservations most likely will still be valid but without more details it can’t really be confirmed.

Before boarding the train you must make sure that you have the correct train entered and activated in the Railplanner app.

What was your original travel plan and what does DB suggest now? Route/date/time/trainnumber
