On our first day of travel we have to get to St Pancras (from Reading) to access our booked Eurostar train. That means travelling on a peak time GWR train that would normally cost £60 in rush hour.

I know that domestic travel on the day of commencement and day of returning home are covered by my pass--but how do I access tyhat? Do I just show up at Reading station and ask to get on the peak rate train by showing my Interrail pass--or do I have to book a train with the benefit of my pass?

And likewise, what is the prorocal coming home?

On the out and in days you use the pass in Britain as you would anywhere else, add the trains you wish to take before you board and travel.

There’s no requirement to reserve but you can if you want for free at www.gwr.com or at a ticket office.

Interrail still doesn’t work on GB ticket barriers so you will have to show the pass to a gate attendant.
