Error "May be sold out" in train from Paris to Brussels 5 months ahead

I wanted to book seats for a train from Paris to Brugges the 15 of october, and when I select the train an error appears that says that the seats for pass holders may be sold out. I wanted to know if this is a definitive mistake or what does that “may be” means? And what am I supposed to do, booking another train or wait if seats appear available?
Thanks

Try to reserve seats only from Paris to Brussels. No reservations are possible from Brussels to Bruges. I see many trains with available seats on Rail Europe. You can find more information about seat reservations here:

You forgot to mention departure time.

In addition, for this journey I'd travel via Lille and Kortrijk. TGV reservations Paris-Lille are often available for €10 and this doesn't take much longer. Eurostar Paris-Brussels is at least €27 per seat.

Hi! The train of the 15 october 7:23 from Paris to Brussels is the one that figures like sold out.

Indeed it looks like there’s no availability on that train for pass holders.

There’s availability at 06:49 or 07:55.

Availability might return closer to the time. These reservations are free to change up to 7 days before travel (you can do it on the Eurostar website), so you could book a different train today, and check again closer to the time.

However, I agree with @rvdborgt’s advice, that going via Lille might be a better option.

I'd consider this journey:

Only the TGV has reservations and they're available for €20.

The 8:45 departure has seats for €10:

Do you think so? It is 1 hour longer as it seems. And the difference is of 17 euros? I will consider it.

Thanks

It's around 2:38 via Brussels, so the difference isn't that big.

You are right! And why is it better?

Via Lille is cheaper and there's no pass holder quota.

What does pass holder quota means?

Quota = limited amount of available seats. This means that all seats for pass holders will be sold out before the train is full. This applies to all Eurostar trains and the TGVs from/to Brussels.
