Question

1. Buying 5 days Eu rail global pass and buy individual train tickets in Switzerland. However can I get the Mountain excursion discount on mt pilatus, mt Jungfraujoch even I do not activate on the day of visiting these mountains.

2. Buy 7 days Eu rail Flexi global pass (as it's quite cheap if I upgrade from 5 days to 7 days). will do only if I can use that pass on golden pass line and local train travel fro travelling to Montreux and jungfraujoch etc. if discount applicable on eu rail global pass? If yes, is it same that is what applicable on Swiss travel pass

3. Buy 5 days Flexi Eu rail global pass and 3 days Swiss travel pass. I think this is one of the most expensive one. Please correct me if I am wrong with calculation.

Also clarify that whether eu rail pass carry any discount on Boat cruises in geneva and transport museum in Lucerne.

You can find an area of validity map for Switzerland here:

https://www.interrail.eu/content/dam/_new-structure/doc/res/Switzerland_railway_network_Eurail_Interrail_2025.pdf

Eurail passes are also valid on the Golden Pass Express trains, but seat reservations are recommended.

You can buy tickets with 25% discount only on the website of the companies or at the ticket offices. It is not recommended to buy such tickets in advance, wait to know if the weather is good, but reservations are mandatory for the Jungfraujoch in summer (May - August) and recommended for the Pilatus.

You can also find cheaper mountain excusions as the Jungfraujoch, the Schilthorn for example.

Thank you so much for your reply. You have solved almost every query. Can you please tell me can we use Eu rail global pass for travelling from Lucerne to Interlaken, Lucerne to Montreux (other than Golden pass train) i.e. Is it valid on inter City travel within Switzerland. Further as far as Mt. pilatus, Mt jungfraujoch and Swiss transport museum are concerned, I think Both (Swiss travel pass and eu rail global pass) will provide equal discount. Is it so?
