Does having a Eurail Pass mean I don't need to book tickets on the Avanti West Coast website? Can I just go to the station to reserve a seat and then take the train to my destination?

The Eurail website is confusing me; I can't book seats on the Avanti West Coast. But if I buy tickets on the Avanti West Coast website, what's the point of having a Eurail Pass?

My plan is to travel from London Euston to Glasgow Central in the morning, and then take the Sleeper train back to London from there.

Does anyone teaching me how the process? thank you in advance.

Yes, but on Avanti West Coast, you don’t *need* a reservation. You can make one if you want to, though, either at the counter or even in other UK rail company websites. For instance, you can make a free reservation for the Avanti train to Glasgow on GWR https://www.gwr.com

If you have a pass, you just add the trip and activate it before boarding. You don’t need an additional ticket and also reservations are not mandatory in the UK, regardless of operator and what the Railplanner app says, only for the night train. You can book that one at the counter in Glasgow or on the Caledonian Sleeper website. (Check the box Room Supplement only) https://www.sleeper.scot

Your QR code will not open the automated ticket gates in stations though so you have to show it to a person working at the gates.

@kupfers That means all I need to do is go to the counter at Euston station to reserve a seat for Glasgow and show my QR code to the person at the entrance, right? I've already booked ticket from Glasgow back to London on the Caledonian website, just this Avanti West Coast. Haha, Thanks for your answer. 🙏
