Euro Star Train issue

Before my Euro trip, I’d purchased Euro Train Global Pass, and I'd booked the 1-calss seats ticket from Rotterdam centraal station to Brussels Midi/zuid station on 2December2024 regarding my planned schedule on the  EuroStar train(ref:CZ7F3J) but the Euro Star train was cancelled while I was waiting on the platform. I had tried to ask the CS services at Rotterdam Station but they said "they do not know how to fix because this is the Eurostar company problem, we cannot not help you. "  I also could not find the agent counter of the EuroStar at the whole Rotterdam centraal station. Regarding this issue, could you please advise the solution to me if I meet the same issue next time. Thank you very much.

The NS staff at Rotterdam station should have proposed alternatives (fun fact: in the Netherlands, Eurostar is operated by NS, so it's their own train).

In fact, you did the right thing by asking staff. But it's also good to know the existing options yourself. In this case, there are also reservation-free alternatives. (I wouldn't have booked a reservation in the first place.)

If you didn't use your reservation, then you can get a full refund from the place where you booked. If that was Eurail, then do that here:

Dear rvdborgt,

Have a good day.

thankyou for your message. And I had tried to ask the NS staff at Rotterdam centraal station but the staff told me that they could not do anythings bcoz they were not the agent of Eurostar, they could not help me abt the delay issue of the Eurostar train.

On the other hand, the train had been cancelled and the journey schedule which I met could not meet my trip target even I had made the 1 class seat booking. If I took the next schedule Eurostar train and how could I get a seat inside the train?! Just standing inside the train or taking the 2nd class seat ? Could you pls advise me if I meet the same case in my future trip(supposed there is no Eurostar agent service counter at the station)?

Really appreciate your kindness help abt that.

Best Regards.,

Clement

The NS staff you spoke were either lying or misinformed. They ARE Eurostar agents and they CAN help Eurostar passengers by rebooking them on the next train. As I said, NS are operating the train in the Netherlands and they also sell Eurostar tickets and reservations. And they are required to assist stranded passengers. Any next time, insist on a solution. It may help to go to the ticket office, because that's where they sell Eurostar tickets and where they should know what to do. Any other NS staff should know where to refer you to.

Dear rvdborgt,

Thank you so much for yr positive reply. The NS staff inside the Rotterdam centraal station that I had contacted was really could not help me to fix my train issue at the moment when I got the Eurostar train delayed issue.

For yr reference at Brussels Centraal station I could find the Eurostar agent counter service there.

Anyway, thankyou very much again  and wish you all the best.

Best Regards.,
