Eurostar reservation without passport number

Hey everyone:)

I want to book the eurostar from Brussels to London. In order to make a reservation a passport number is needed. Unfortunately my passport is no longer valid, so I first need to apply for a new one, which takes up to 2 months. How can I still book a reservation for the eurostar? As the reservations are limited I want to book in advance. I do have an ID number, can I use that instead? Any experiences ?

Thanks for your help!:)

Kind regards!

You need a passport to travel to the UK. You can however change your data later, in the Eurostar app or website using "Manage your booking” and then add your new passport data.

Thank you for your reply! Yes, of course, I’m planning to travel in September, and my passport will definitely be ready by then. However, when reserving the seats, a passport number is required, which I cannot provide yet because it will still take about two months until I receive my passport.

Its good to know that it is possible to change the information regarding the passport number later!

@Lima

Don’t forget to apply for a new Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) for your new passport.

Make the Eurostar reservation with your old passport number and once you get the new passport you just update the passport number on the Eurostar website.
