I work for a UK rail company and we get FIP vouchers for free travel on some European service.

I need to reserve 2 seats on a service but I am unable to just reserve the seats without buying a ticket.

Any advise would be great.

travelling from Paris Gare de Lyon to Zurich.

You should be able to book those by calling SNCF:

https://www.sncf-voyageurs.com/en/contact-us/our-contact-points/by-phone/

Press #85 for English.

Reservations are only mandatory until Basel.
