Hello,

I’m Miguel from Portugal, I’m planning an interrail in June till Sweden and I’m looking for advices.

I want to know where are night trains that I can use and I’m open to receive suggestions from other people, like what kind of things do I need to carry with me and what kind of things you don’t recommend to carry with me.

Here's a night train map:

It looks like it hasn't been updated yet for the new timetable.

In case you dont plan on stopping in denmark, there is a night train going from Berlin or Hamburg to Stockholm.

There are also some French night trains starting close to the spanish border that go towards Paris.

On things to carry a medium sized powerbank is always a good idea. A reusable water bottle is something i carry since i only drink water and most of the places i travel to have drinkable tap water. Otherwise i prefere to travel with less stuff since i make a lot of stops on the way.

I have not travelled by train to spain or portugal yet. (mostly because of the expensive reservations for highspeed trains in france and spain)

There are none in Portugal or Spain.

You have some night trains once you get across the border into France. From either Latour de Carol or Cerbere to Paris. (Although going via Paris isn’t the quickest route).

Basel-Hamburg and Hamburg-Stockholm would be useful for you.

What to carry? As little as possible. Try to keep your bag small enough that you can carry it around a city for a few hours. Remember, you can buy almost anything you need.

I used to use this map, but it is also not getting updated at the moment.
