Has Interrail screwed me?

I have scheduled the activation of my pass from 13th of July to 3rd of August and i got an email today (10th of july) that says my pass was activated, why? Someone with knowledge about this please help me

That looks correct. You activated it with start date 13 July.

Just be aware that you can only change it before the validity period starts. If anything happens on the 13th, e.g. you wake up ill, it will be too late to change it. that's why it's not recommended to activate in advance.

Once you choose a start date, you have activated your pass.

Please go to My Pass and verify the validity period. It should say 13 July - 3 August if you did what you wrote.

There’s no reason to activate in advance though. I'd cancel the activation and wait until the day you start your trip.
