Is the heatwave still an issue in Paris - does it ruin the exploring of the city? and how about the rest of France in general?

Temperatures are high again (35°C, not 40°C+ anymore). As long as you start early, stay hydrated and don’t plan too much in the afternoon, you’ll be fine.

Southwestern France is having higher temperatures and wildfires.

It’s difficult to advise without knowing your plans, or how you get on with heat,

I find 30 C uncomfortable, and anything over 35 very unpleasant. You might be different?

Whether or not your accommodation has good A/C will have a major effect on how you enjoy your trip. The cumulative effect of heat can be draining.

Get up early, seek out A/C, and avoid the middle of the day if necessary. Carry an umbrella if you can’t.
