Hi. We are planning our travels in July. Searching for options same day from Genoa to Nice. Cant find any train routes. Alternatively are there trains running from Ventimiglia to Nice

1. We are leaving from Genoa in the morning and would like to be in Nice on the same day with no overnight stops

  1. No fast trains available for Nice to Paris either with Global Pass in July.

any advise please

You are too early for full timetables for July.

Use a date this month, times don’t change much, it may not be exact but will give a good idea of times.

Check back later for July times.

Al said it: too early.

French high-speed trains will be published from 12th March. Others later.

Hi! A couple years ago I travelled a similar travel but in reverse, so I ca tell you this:

  1. There are no direct trains to Genoa from any city in the south of France, you have to make a stop in Ventimiglia.
  2. Italy and France are in the Schengen area the boarder you will be crossing is controlled to a certain extent. This is because some illegal migration routes pass trough that area. In Ventimiglia you might find quite a lot of police considering the size the town.
  3. If you leave Genoa in the morning you will be in Nice by lunch time, even with a train change. I suggest you travel Genoa- Ventimiglia and then Ventimiglia-Nice. There are a lots of trains.
  4. Regarding the Nice-Paris travel you can look at the trains available in march or april to know more or less the time it will take you, then wait for the july routes to be published.
