On holiday from 21st to 29th October 2023 inclusive. Travelling from Portsmouth (UK) and want to travel to the four Nordic capitals (Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Helsinki) if possible.

Not worried about reservation costs and will be travelling 1st class.

Can anyone suggest best route, maybe Eurostar to Paris or Brussels and then onward from there?

You'll spend most of your time on trains and I'm not sure the trip is even possible. They are all a fair bit apart.

From the UK either :

- the overnight ferry from Harwich to Hoek van Holland (Rotterdam) -> 30% discount with the pass

- Eurostar to Brussels or Amsterdam (30-35€ seat reservation, passholder quota so book well in advance)

Then consider night trains like Hamburg - Stockholm or overnight ferries like Copenhahen - Oslo or Stockholm - Helsinki.

If I were you I'd at least cut Helsinki and get a flight back (or the other way around).

All Swedish school children go on holiday for a week from the evening of the 27th of October, so expect a lot of people travelling on the 28th and 29th in and from Sweden.
