How do I choose a different train for one leg of a four leg journey?

When I plan a trip, suggestions for train times are given.  Is it possible to increase the transfer time for just one leg of the journey?  I need 90 minutes to check into Eurostar but don’t need a 90 minute transfer for every leg.

I usually split my route search up in smaller sections.

(Random example) Instead of searching York-Berlin in one go, I’lld search for York-Brussels, and Brussels-Berlin and look for timetables with a later departure in Brussels. Or I add each train individually in the rail planner app.

Or use a planner like www.bahn.com. In the extended search options you can add time for stopovers for specific stations, that way you can play a bit with varying transfer times on a longer journey.

You can add the trains separately as you please. In theory trip planners take minimum connection times into account including the extra time needed for the Eurostar.
