I know in France, Italy, and Spain you pay 8-13 eu to make a reservation on a high speed train with a Eurail pass. But the last time I used Eurostar some years ago, it seemed like I was paying half or 2/3 of full fare even with the pass. I want to travel from London to Brussels. I also know that the fares differ at different times of day.
Can someone tell me how it works please? Thanks.

Meanwhile tickets often reach 150-200€ (50€ is really rare!)…

If you book the Eurostar well in advance you get a ticket from London to Brussels for 58 EUR, which is considerably less than the cost for a pass day plus the cost for a seat reservation.
