I am trying to post a question on the Eurostar website but it keeps saying I am not prperly formating my US phone number (I have had this problem on other websites as well).
What am I doing wrong?

From most places it is 00 - Country code - Area code usually dropping the initial 0 - Subscriber number
It will be 00-1-xxxxxx for US from everywhere bar US, Canada and a bunch of Caribbean Islands.
As in many things there is an international standard and then there is America which just loves to be different.
