I unfortunately made a mistake planning my trip. I started my plan on friday within Germany. Since I didn’t realize I can‘t just travel within my home country I had to use the outbound-trip (without actually leaving the country). Now I want to actually leave Germany tomorrow and am afraid that the pass won’t work because I only have the inbound ticket left, but the journey is outbound… does it matter?

If you have a mobile pass, then the app doesn't make a difference between inbound and outbound. They're both just days on which you travel in your country of residence.

On 2 of your travel days, you can travel in/to/from Germany. Once you've used them, you cannot use your pass for travel in Germany anymore, only for travel outside Germany. You'll need a ticket to the border or to the first station outside Germany, whatever is cheaper.

it looks like you still have 1 day left for travelling in Germany. If you need more than 1, then use it for the journey in/to/from Germany that is most expensive and buy a normal ticket for the cheapest journey.
