Hey,

I‘d like to travel through my homecountry, specifically through Germany, because I travel from Amsterdam to Copenhagen. I don’t need the outbound journey in the beginning of my pass (I start in the Uk). Is it possible for me to have the so-called outbound on travelday 3,4,5,… and is it possible to travel through my homecountry with the Interrail pass anyway?
thanks for your help!!

You can use the 2 "home country days” on any day during the validity period of your pass.

Keep in mind that these are not extra travel days. It's just that on 2 of your travel days, you can also travel in your country of residence.

It does not matter if you travel inbound, outbound, or through your home country (transit). If the train you use with the pass has a scheduled stop in your country of residence, then one of the "home country days” will be used.
