Inbound/outbound - active days spent

Hello, I have read several articles about using inbound/outbound days but it is still quite confusing for me. I am from the Czech Republic and I have 2 questions:

1) I have a valid interrail pass up to 7 August, I will spend my last travel day (of 5) on 26 July by reaching Nurnberg (Germany), Am I entitled to use my inbound day on 27 July to get back to Prague? E.g. with a change of train in Germany or Czech station if there is no direct connection to Prague in selected time?

2) I know there is written several times that inbound/outbound days are not extra days but it is still not clear enough for me... Can you confirm me, please, that this sentence is the true in the described situation: I have a valid interail pass but I have already spent my travel days. However, I still have inbound and outbound days left. Is it true that I cannot use them if I have already spend all my travel days? E.g. I would like to do a trip to Dresden and back using my inbound and outbound days after a break in Prague and spending all my travel days earlier.

Thank you in advance for replies, I hope it would help to other travellers too. Tomáš

Inbound/outbound days are part of your travel days, not extra. If you have a 5 day pass: on 2 of these 5 days you may travel in your country of residence.

No.

Inbound / outbound days aren’t extra days.

On 2 of your 5 travel days, you can also travel in CZ. If you use your final travel day to get to Nuremberg, you will have no travel days left.

Thank you for answer. In that case, it is just confusing to diferenciate these days from normal travel days.

Pedro, my tip: just go to cd.cz and book a normal ticket for Nuremburg-Prague.
For 27 July the cheapest ticket I can find is only 506 Czech Koruna (= 21,50eur)
A couple of trains are 600 Czech Koruna, so 26eur.
That’s cheaper than the cost of a pass day!
