We are thinking of buying a Global Interrail pass for a journey this year.  Unless I have misunderstood can I use the pass for travel from York to London and then Eurostar as well as travel in Europe?

Thank you

Yes you can. On 2 of the pass days you may travel in your country of residence.

Seat reservations are required on fast/high-speed trains depending on the company/country (extra costs). Some routes are popular and need to be booked well in advance (Eurostar, night trains).

Have a look at this general guide : https://www.seat61.com/interrail-and-eurail-reservations.htm

Eurostar costs 30€ (35€ to the Netherlands) and there's a passholder quota -> pretty much unique in Europe. You must book early and there aren't many alternatives.

After the Channel Tunnel things will be much easier, don't worry! :)

Feel free to ask anything, we'll be glad to answer.
