We are planning to purchase the 3 day interrail one country pass for swizerland as we will be most travelling within swiss. However, we are also planning to visit Liechtenstein from Zurich. So are we able to use the interail one country pass (Swiss) to travel to Liechtenstein? Is this covered?

The pass for Switzerland is not valid in Liechtenstein. It is valid until Buchs, just before the border.
Depending on where you want to go in Liechtenstein, you can already take a bus from Buchs. There are buses from Buchs every 15 minutes. There are also buses from Sargans to Vaduz.
