Hi, my name is Ginevra. I’m an Italian journalist and a big fan of Interrail.
Together with a friend, I’m planning a trip for next spring, and I’d love to hear from you.

I’m also gathering ideas for an article on this topic, so I’d really appreciate your stories and insights.
Have any of you travelled around Europe with Interrail? Where did you go? How was the experience? What do you think is the real added value of a journey like this? What did it give you — and what did it leave behind? Do you feel different or changed after the trip? Do you think Interrail is an effective way to get to know Europe and Europeans better?
I’d love to hear your stories!

I have traveled across all of Europe within two months with an Interrail pass and it was a truly transformative experience. It made me discover the beauty and kindness of people, especially in places that not everyone else is traveling to for holidays all the time. My advice would be to go east to find the most interesting adventures. Romania has been mind blowing. But so have been other more rural places off the beaten tracks.
My most important tip for people new to traveling by train: don’t go to France, Spain or Portugal. Really!
