I have got a reservation on the  Trenitalia train from Paola to Siracusa on June 4th, (have a global pass). The train is Intercity 723, dep Paola at 12.37 , arriving in Siracusa (Sicily) at 18.28.  I chose this train specifically because it is loaded onto the ferry rather than having to change at Messina.  It shows on Trenitalia and in the Rail Europe timetable, but not on the app. I’ve loaded it manually onto ‘my trip’  but am worried that this won’t be accepted by the conductor on the train. Any advice would be much appreciated.  Thanks!

The option to add trains manually is specifically meant for cases like this. Your pass will be valid.

Although you could also just use the planner suggestion with a change in Messina, since that doesn't use an extra travel day (which can be a problem for night trains).

The trains from/to Sicily are not correctly shown in the Rail Planner app: only one destination (Palermo or Siracusa) is shown as a direct train, instead of both. Can this be fixed?

Thanks for checking for me.  My train is a daytime one, so it is only one travel day anyway. Let’s hope that this glitch can be fixed. Am glad it will still be valid, but sadly not showing on the map I see.

I will ask internally, but I guess this is due to the data we get from Trenitalia.

Thank you for the feedback.

DB receive the same data but show all trains as through trains.

AS does Rail Europe, which is where I reserved my seat. So it isn’t TRenitatlia but the app.
