Italy Train Strikes 8/07/25

I’m having a difficult time figuring out if my route is affected on July 8th. I’m travelling from Riomaggiore to Milano Centrale via Monterosso I have my trains listed below

Riomaggiore to Monterosso RE12302 - 10.03am

Monterosso to Milano Centrale IC666 - 10.33am

Are these trains affected? I’ve tried to look at the websites but I’m having a difficult time navigating. I was told by a local that earlier departures from Riomaggiore (7.58am) should not be affected but I cannot seem to change this on my mobile pass. Can I still board an earlier train with my mobile pass?

I'd indeed take an earlier train. Regional trains generally run between 6:00 and 9:00 and then between 18:00 and 21:00. For long-distance trains, there's a list of guaranteed trains on this page. IC 666 isn't in that list and neither is the earlier IC 662. They might run though. The list is just a minimum.

You can always remove trains from your trip and add others.

If you had already added a train to your pass, then untoggle the train in My Trip. You can also delete it from My Trip by holding the train and then a pop-up menu should come up.

Just add your new train(s) as you'd add any other train.

If that doesn't work for you, then please describe at which exact step you're stuck. A screenshot also helps.

Thank you! I have been in contact with the customer care team and it seems that the IC trains to Milan are not running IC 666 or IC 662. So we have to look at other options. We have exhausted many different options but still no clear answer as it appears that Riomaggiore may not have any operational trains tomorrow! Even if we are delayed by a day, it seems I cannot change the reservation online on my laptop with a message that appears: We couldn’t find any journeys for this timestamp. Please try a different one. The system is very clunky and I think our only option may be to request a delay compensation and book another trip directly with Trenitalia. So disappointing after hours of trying to fix this we are no closer to an answer!

According to the list here: https://www.trenitalia.com/it/regionale/liguria/treni-garantiti-liguria.html the 08:21 departure is the last guaranteed service to run that morning from Riomaggiore (12218 from La Spezia Centrale). Later trains might run still.

10:33 IC is very likely to run. It doesn't show as not bookable on the Trenitalia website (while the 12:55 and 14:55 departures do).
