I am planning to stay in Seville for Jan and Feb, hoping to use a Global Pass to sojourn, any recommendation for winter travel? Where to avoid?

Seville is perfect in winter. Even spring is too hot for many people these days.

Madrid is high and continental, and has a reputation for being cold in winter (though I was there at the end of February, and it was a pleasant temperature during the day). Same with Granada

The Mediterranean coasts can be great, but they can also be cold and wet.

If you can stay flexible, you’ll be able to visit Madrid & Granada on warm days, and head down to the coast when the weather is good there

I’d also consider Cádiz for a few days, it can be reached by local commuter train and intercity. If you budget allows, stay at the hotel casa de los quartro torres.
Jerez, which is nearby is also lovely. again, reachable by commuter train.
