Hello, we are a family of 5 hoping to travel from Venice to Rome on Saturday 5th August ideally in the morning. I can't seem to get any results. I know there is some work on the line to Rome in the summer but thought that just affected Night Trains.

Trenitalia started to publish the summer timetable this week on Trenitalia.com, but do not expect all the trains on it. In the next weeks this partly timetable is expected to get also at other timetable searcher like DB Bahn, ÖBB Scotty or Interrail/Eurail Website and app.
The full timetable is expected some weeks before the small summer timetable change the second sunday of June.
+7It's too early to check. Timetables for Italy are always updated a bit late.
Best check a similar date less far in the future, for that journey. That way you get an indication of travel time, frequency and different trains. It won't differ much.
I think the timetables for Italy are uploaded until early June.
Better try again in a couple of weeks, months :)
