We are planning a trip in May and want to book tickets from Krakow to Bratislava. The interail application does not seem to allow this. Is it because it is too far in advance or should we be using a different site

+6The interrail application is if you want to use a interrail pass. If this is your only train journey, you best book a ticket through one of the operators: intercity.pl for instance for the Polish national operator.
If you have an Interrail pass, you need a seat reservation for these trains.
Booking should also be possible on cd.cz (less hassle than via PKP IC).
If that doesn't work for you then please mention date and departure time.
