For such long journey I'd rather take the direct EC to Milan and change there (around 7h10).
The Bernina Express is doable but the detour takes a lot of time (over 12h).
- IC3 Zürich HB - Chur 06:38 - 07:52
- Bernina Express Chur - Tirano 08:17 - 12:49 -> board the regular carriages at the front (no reservation)
- R Tirano - Milano Centrale 13:08 - 15:40
- little break
- FR Milano Centrale - Roma Termini 16:00 - 19:10 or later
Timetables after 15th December 2024.

+6El tren panorámico es muy muy bonito. Pero es mucho más lento que el tren directo Zúrich - Milano.
En mi opinión, el panorámico es el mejor itinerario, aunque sea más lento. Puede pasar una noche en Milano o Lago Como ?
Hola muchas gracias por su tiempo y respuesta, de hecho ya compramos el Bernina para disfrutar un poco el viaje. Si debo de llegar a Roma ese mismo día por lo que cualquier sugerencia o recomendación. Se lo agradezco. De hecho tengo que tomarme el tiempo para ver cómo se hacen las reservas por medio de Euro Raíl.
+6No es necesario comprar reservas para el tren Bernina Express con el pase Eurail. Hay coches sin reservas. No es necesario reservar en Suiza.
No es necesario ni posible para el tren regional Tirano-Milano.
Para las reservas desde Milano a Roma en el Frecciarossa, tienes que pagar €13. Es mejor hacerlo en el sitio web de Rail Europe.
