Today I bought the mobile pass and want to make a reservation for Deutsche bahn. I know how to make the reservation. But do I need to activate the pass first before i can make a seat reservation? Or can I activate the pass after I made a reservation? Because I'm not travelling this weekend and I'm afraid that the pass will cost days if I will activate it a few days before my first travelday.

You don’t need to activate the pass to make the reservation.
Domestic seat reservations (optional) on DB are €3 in second class, and free if you have a first class pass. You can book them on the ÖBB website.
