Question

Moderation silencing users?

Hi,

I left some comments on this post:

I have been waiting for more than 24 hours and can’t seem to see my comment and have not received any updates. Can anyone let me know why? Do moderators not allow comments? Are people being silenced on this post? I think this is a very bad sign of low transparency and suppression and makes me think that there is probably a huge number of people who wrote in to disagree and are not being allowed to share their thoughts in the name of “moderation”. I want to believe this is not the case but I am running out of explanations that would make sense.

Thanks

I believe the first post (or maybe first few posts?) of new users have to be approved. I suppose that's an anti-spam measure and nothing else.

Hey @mikkimmi - just to clarify, your thread wasn’t silenced or intentionally removed by anyone on the team.

It was accidentally caught by our automated spam filter, which sometimes flags posts incorrectly. We definitely don’t suppress discussions or viewpoints (unless they are a breach of our code of conduct), and there was no manual action taken against your thread.

We’ve restored it now and adjusted things on our end so this is less likely to happen again. Thanks for raising it, and we appreciate your patience while we sorted it out 👍

If you ever notice something like this again, feel free to reach out directly — we’re always happy to take a look.
