I am planning to take the night train from Bratislava to Krakow Glowny in mid April 2025.  EN 476 Metropol departs Bratislava at 21:58pm and arrives Breclav at 23:04pm.  Continuing on to Krakow, the train number changes to 406 but you don’t changes trains.  It departs Breclav at 1:00am.  The info on the What Is A Travel Day page states … “When traveling on a night train that leaves on one day and arrives the next, without changing trains after midnight, you only have to spend 1 travel day”.  Just want to be sure I’m correct in thinking this trip counts as only 1 day.  Thanks.

As long as you don't need to change trains, i.e. you stay in the same carriage, you don't need a new travel day. Whether the train changes its number or not is not relevant.
