Hello,

I have a reservation for the night train from Bucuresti to Vienna for tomorrow, but since around 2 days, the train does not appear in my Interrail App anymore. It still exists on the ÖBB website (where I also got the reservation from), which makes me wonder how it disappeared from the Rail Planner App.

Any idea if there are any train disruption I should know of?

Also: My reservation starts from Bucuresti though I want to hop in only in Brasov. Do you think that will be a problem?

What the Rail Planner app shows or doesn't show is not relevant. Timetable updates often reach the app last, so it certainly wouldn't know about any sudden timetable change and you should not draw any conclusions from it. The timetable is simply incomplete.

The train is shown on the CFR, MÁV and ÖBB websites, so it is planned to run.

The Rail Planner app does show it until Curtici (last station in Romania). The offline planner in the app still finds the complete train. You can change to offline if you turn off “Use live updates” under More > Settings. Then do a new search.

If you board later, then your place could in theory be sold to passengers who turn up spontaneously. There are however still free places in all categories, so I guess it will be OK.

I would not worry to much regarding the train not showing up in the interrail timetable anymore. I assume ÖBB is more accurate. (There often are night trains not showing up correctly in the interrail timetable) Included trains can be added manually to your jouney if you dont find them in the timetable.

Just be aware if you dont inform the train company. It will be assumed in a shared compartment that you will not show up. (You usually get told at what station the other people in the same compartment get on)

Ok thank you. We will ask at the train station to keep our beds reserved!
