on April 17th, I need to go from Prague to Berlin.
i tried to reserve a seat, but it looks like there aren’t any available .
according to Eurail , seats are recommended , not required .
is it still possible to get on the train?
or should I find an alternative ?

Reservations are available on all direct trains on Apr 17 from DB, I didn’t check CD but likely also from there (and cheaper).
As the trains are not reservation compulsory you can just turn up and take an unreserved seat or if none available stand.
17 April is the Thursday before Easter so likely will be very busy.
