I am currently on a trip around Sweden and Norway and everything is fine (despite the strike in France on the Day of departure...). Our outbound Journey was Poitiers/Paris/Dusseldorf. Must the inbound journey be the other way round ? Or can I choose to take the direct Strasbourg to Poitiers to Côme back home ? Thanks in advance!

No such condition. You can use the remaining inbound/outbound day on how many trains you want, on whichever route, etc.
