hi, I am looking to get the Pass Plus 5 day for a trip in August from Wales > Paris, Paris > Florence, Florence Zurich then Zurich .> Wales. four people, 2 adults, 12yo and 8 yo.
The pass+ says that it includes three reservations. is this three in total or three per person? It is not clear to me. I would otherwise buy a four day pass.
Also, if I bought the pass now, so that I could benefit from Eurostar booking, would it be usable when booking for currently unavailable trains that appear to be released around two months (late June) before travelling?
I’m confused about what happens if the train is canceled and have to get a different one?
Thanks

You get three credits for the ‘premium’ ie expensive trains.
Eurostar uses up a credit, as does the French domestic TGV (if it’s on sale for €20) and the international TGV to Switzerland. The TGV to Italy costs 1 credit in second class or 2 credits in First.
Domestic French TGVs on sale for €10, as well as domestic Frecciarossa, Italian & French Intercity, and Deutsche Bahn don’t use up reservation credits at all. You can use them as much as you like.
They are per person.

So effectively you would need a minimum of two credits to get from London to Italy. 3 credits isn’t enough to do a return - you’d have to pay at least one reservation.

Your 12yo would need a Youth pass, your 8yo would qualify for a free Child pass, but would still need reservations.
The product page doesn’t say whether free Child passes come with 3 reservation credits. You should check this with Customer Services.

No problem with booking the reservations later.

Off a train is cancelled or a connection is missed, you should normally ask station staff to rebook you, but you may be able to do it yourself, or get help through Eurail. You never need to pay out of your own pocket for rebooking.
