Plan trip before purchase?

How do people plan their trip in advance? I’d like to see times and total cost before committing to buying two passes, but that seems only possible *after* purchase. What am I missing?

For timetable planning, use national planners or apps. For international journeys, bahn.com or the DB Navigator app is a good choice.

To see where to book reservations and what they cost, check this page:

The Eurail website is rarely the best place to book reservations.
