Hi i am looking at booking my rail pass however i need to split the trip in 2 due to flying from Madrid to Venice
anyone done this before and advice on how to plan this is rail planner
London to Paris
Paris to Barcelona
Barcelona to Madrid
fly Madrid to Venice
Venice to Pisa
Pisa to Verona
verona to Pompei
Pompei to Rome

No issues at all, train journeys do not need to be continuous. You may take a bus, a plane or another train (with a regular ticket), etc.
You add ("log") trains on Rail Planner as you go.
Do not forget to buy seat reservations (extra costs) whenever required. Some routes are more popular than others i.e. London - Paris - Barcelona.
