Am I mad or did there used to be a planning map where you could plan the various stages of your journey before booking specific tickets. I’m sure it used to come up as you opened the planning guide. Where has it gone?

But i also only managed to find it because i had it bookmarked and i did not find the link on the website on first glance. The search on the interrail page also finds it.

@Eurail Community Moderator Was the trip planner removed from where it was linked before because it had some issues?

Hey @Marvin Heer ,

Unfortunately, this tool is indeed no longer available on our website since the 22nd of April 2026. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience. The page you have bookmarked should be shut down soon and should not be used any further.

You mean this map? : https://www.interrail.eu/de/tripplanner

Its only a general overview and it sometimes counts the days wrong, also keep in mind you cant import that journey into the railplanner app. But it can give a quick overview about what to expect in terms of travel times .

That is exactly the one I meant! Thank you!

And yes, I know about the limitations but it’s really helpful at the beginning because you can see the whole trip and adjust days etc.

It’s the thing that would come up as soon as you opened the planning page. I tried to search on the website but couldn’t find it. Anyway, makes me feel better that I am not alone.

In dem Sinne nochmals vielen Dank!

Not totally brilliant as the planning map is the only tool to help with initial planning where you can see distances and travel days on one page.
