Hi, I am thinking to take this ride. Any suggestions on the trains? Or could this be done better? Also, just to make sure this will be regarded as a 1 day travel, right?

That’s a really good option. It gives you most of a day in Prague, and a good night’s sleep.

The alternative is a long 14 hour daytime journey.

There’s availability in a sleeper. And in a couchette, but only for females. Reserve this as soon as you can.

Thanks @ralderton . So I will only need to reserve for the NJ 40466 train right? And yes, I have my wife with me. Also, will this entire trip be regarded as a single travel day?

Yes to both questions!

You can optionally reserve the EC, and that a good idea for €3.

Unless I’m getting the wrong results from ÖBB, the supplement for the sleeper is very expensive on that night.

If you’re two women, you can take a shared sleeper or couchette, but otherwise your only option is a private 2 person sleeper for €490.

(Or seats - not recommended!)
