I have just activated my Pass and added the first few journeys. Some of the journeys are not “booked” with Eurail but various rail companies with seat reservations where we paid a fee. So am I doing this right? I search out those particular journeys on the Planner so I can add them to our mobile app on Days, and even though it says in Planner the ticket requires a reservation, I’m not repurchasing the seat reservation? Just want to confirm: I’ll show a conductor My Journey on that Day in the Eurail app and also then show him/her the seat reservation confirmation from that particular rail company?

Yep, you’ve got it.
The pass is your ticket, and you’re telling it which trains you’re taking - that’s what generates the QR code and your valid ticket. You’re not booking anything when you add it to your pass.
Be ready to show both - your pass + your reservation - (and your passport/ ID, because your pass is technically only valid with that) when asked. Some train operators are more interested in the reservation, others want to see the pass.

The recommendation from the experienced travellers in the Community is to wait with activating the pass until just before boarding the first train of your travel as you only can deactivate the pass until midnight the day before the validity starts.
