Hi! I’m planning an Interrail trip to several cities: Ljubljana, Vienna, Budapest and Bucharest. I was wondering if you had any places you particularly enjoyed, restaurants, or tips you’d recommend. Thanks in advance

The Corona sleeper train to Brasov is nice, it is old-fashioned but should have a restaurant car and from Brasov it’s not far to Bucharest. You can stopover in the mountains nearby.
From Ljubljana to Vienna Graz is also worth a stopover.

Budapest is lovely and has a lot to offer. For restaurants I usually check out google maps, but if you tell what kind you like, I might be able to sugggest for Vienna&Budapest as I am frequently there.

Ljubjana is nice for a short stay, or a bit longer if you do a couple day trips ( also has a small train museum)

Budapest is also a great choice

  • i can recommend visiting the caves there
  • There is also a big train museum there

Brasov had some nice hikes nearby and also a nice city.

I found Bucharest the least enjoyable of the listed cities.

In Graz the “Schlossberg” is worth going up.
