Book train Grindelwald Terminal to Jungfraujoch

Hi, I have a second class Eurail Global Pass. We want to go up to Jungfraujoch, but I would like to know if my pass includes this train? And if I need to reserve a seat?

Thank you in advance for your help

Mürren is included in the pass, but only if you travel via Grütschalp. The other route with the bus via Stechelberg is not included.

For Grindelwald to Jungfraujoch, you get a 25% discount and don't need to use a travel day.

Reservation isn't necessary, probably not even possible. Reservations in Switzerland (when they're possible) are generally a waste of money.

No need to reserve. Not a single domestic train in Switzerland requires reservations.

(Which is good, so you can wait for a day with good weather, before going to the top, otherwise you won’t see much.)

It’s not included in the pass, but you get a 25% discount.

Thank you for your response, do you think Schilthorn is a better destination? Is it something similar?

@Herbertdl1991

Reservations are possible to the Jungfraujoch and mandatory between 01.05.2025 - 31.08.2025:

A good reason not to travel on this line, but it is just my personal opinion.

You can travel to Mürren with your pass (cable car and train).

@Herbertdl1991

As indicated above in other posts, reservations are usually not necessary in Switzerland, except for some panoramic trains. You can find more information here:

Ppersonally I'd go to Schilthorn instead of Jungfraujoch. The view from the turning restaurant at Schilthorn is amazing if the weather is nice.
