Hi there! I am in bit of a struggle and I would really appriciate your help. I now am in Vienna. I have to go to Cluj-Napoca Romania. There are no direct trains. And I cannot find anywhere, and internet site including interrail to make reservations for romania. They say I can go from vienna to budapest, then feom budapest to some city in romania like arad, then from there to cluj. But the problem is, yes i can make reservations for the trains departing from vienna and budapest but non for romania to romania and im freaking out. I dont want to pay full price tickets or buy a bus ticket while i have interrail. I also dont want to risk getting on a train that requires reservations and hoping to find an empty spot. Can you help me please :((

Are you travelling tomorrow?
There is a direct train Budapest - Cluj in the morning but it leaves just too early to reach it by taking the first direct train from Vienna.
Domestic reservations in Romania cannot be done online. You may try to do it already in Vienna (the ticket office at Westbahnhof is much less crowded than at Hauptbahnhof). Or do it in Arad then.
EDIT: I wouldn’t worry too much about doing a reservation last minute. Tomorrow’s evening train from Arad to Cluj still has more than 200 2nd class seats left.
