Hi, we’re planning our interrail trip with 7 days global pass for the first two weeks of september. We’d like to visit main European capitals (Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Vienna and finishing up with sea in the Balkans). We live in the south of Italy and we’d rather to travel exclusively with the pass, preferabily minimizing seat reservation and additional costs. Do you think that’s possible leaving from Lamezia Terme? With which itinerary? We are especially in difficulty with inbound and outbound days 😩🙏🏻🫶🏻

I think that might be too much with just 7 travel days and only 2 weeks of time.

Regarding extra costs: you mainly have the expensive reservation in france and italy.

You are not going to be able to get from your starting point to one of your destinations in 1 day(unless you decide to take night trains) So its most likly easier to choose a place to visit thats closer to italy for the first stop.

Paris-Amsterdam : There really is no good alternative to eurostar if you dont want this to take an unreasonable amount of time

The following routes require no reservations and have good connections:

Amsterdam- Berlin

Berlin-Prague

Prague-Vienna

If you end up short on travel days Berlin -Prague or prague-vienna(Regiojet) can still be booked for reasonable prices
