You can use the pass in most S-Bahnen, but you have some exceptions, you can check in the Rail Planner if you can use the S-Bahn or not.
For example in Zurich: Your pass is valid for the S-Bahn except lines S4, S10 and S18. The reason is that these lines are exploited by companies that don’t accept the pass.

+9Yes. Pretty much all S-Bahn in Germany, Switzerland, Austria are included in the pass.
The only exclusion I’m aware of is the S4 and S10 in Zurich (which is a shame, because that excludes the very picturesque trip up the Uetliberg).
