Hi guys, I’m currently planning my interrail route this summer and I’m looking from getting from Budapest to Zagreb/Ljubljana on Thursday the 10th of July but I can’t seem to find a train to book because the websites either arent loading or saying theres some kind of error? Is this just me or is there an issue with the trainlines that day? If anyone could help me find a train or book a reservation to either Zagreb or Ljubljana at any time on the 10th of July that would be amazing! Thank you!

Which websites are you trying. You should be able to do it for €2 on the MÁV website, as shown here:

Hi, I put go to purchase them and a screen pops up saying “failed reservation” and im not sure why?
Hi I’ve tried it multiple tomes on a PC and a movile phone and I’ve had a friend try via the link you sent and it is still popping up with the “seat reservation failed” message after we fill in all our details and press reserve
I get that error too, also when trying to book that train through the Czech railways website. I’m not even able to find the direct train to Zagreb for July 10th.
I suggest to wait a few weeks, there may be some engineering works along the route. In my experience, booking for these two trains always open very late in Summer. I don’t think this train will sell out far in advance.
Does the train to Ljubljana have mandatory seat reservations now? When I used this train back in 2023, it only had optional seat reservations. I only remember that my reserved seat on that train didn’t exist.
