Seat Reservation - Train from Edinburgh to London

I am trying to make a seat reservation for a train from Edinburgh to London using my Eurail Global pass. However, it gives me an error message that I am not able to make this seat reservation on the Eurail site and I need to either do this at a station or direct on the ACP Rail site.

 

When I access site I then get a notice re the following, has anyone else experienced this issue?

Buying a Seat Reservation in the UK does not always assure an assigned seat. Instead, it will guarantee an available seat on the train.

I‘m not sure what the ACP site is, but if you‘re traveling with LNER, it‘s easy and convenient to reserve the seat via their app/website. 
It can be done almost until the last minute at no cost and you can choose your seat.

unfortunately when I go to the Lnr site and try and do a seat reservation, it shows the following message

I guess it’s too far in the future. It seems that today I could reserve seats until the 5th of June, from there on now availability yet.

You choose “Other” and put your Interrail pass number in as booking reference.
